Daily Darsas
Darsas are conducted daily from Monday to Friday after Dhuhr salat
by different scholars in English, Swahili and Somali language. There
are also daily Darsas conducted by the Resident Imam before Dhuhr
prayers.
The Pre and Post Dhuhr Duruus(lectures) in the Masjid & Saturday
weekly lectures at Jamia hall are scheduled as follows:
Monday Sh. Abdallah Kheir Sh. Juma Muhammad Amir
Tuesday Br. Muhammad Abdallah Sh. Ahmad M. Msallam
Wednesday Sh. Muhammad Swalihu Sh. Abdulatif A. Sheikh
Thursday Sh. Muhammad Swalihu Sh. Shaaban Ismail
Friday Pre Khutbah Br. Nizar
SATURDAY LECTURES
As regarding the Saturday lectures, the lectures have continued
well and uninterrupted save for during the election period. The
attendance keeps fluctuating dependant on the topic of discussion
and the person delivering the same.
We have now developed yearly themes to guide these lectures and
the theme for last year was “Moral Values of Islam”
while this year it is “The Social system of Islam”.
We have a sizeable majority attending these Darsas. Darsas during
Ramadhan remain a success and the number of listeners has grown
exponentially.
REVERTS PROGRAM
A comprehensive program for reverts including a basic course on
Islamic instructions is conducted at JTI college, free of charge.
This programme aims at ensuring proper Islamic Knowledge for Reverts
and is divided into two stages: a six (6) month basic course
