The school Mission or mission statement is actually more of a plan to achieve their vision! It’s a public declaration that schools and other educational organizations use to describe their high level goals, their plans for the future and what they hope to achieve. The schools mission statement will include their plan and map of how the school will aim achieve their goals. The core purpose and focus normally remains unchanged over time. Mission statements serve as filters to separate what is important from what is not. A brief description of the school’s fundamental purpose. This is reflected in daily working practice around the school to inspire students and set out plans that can be achieved as a collective. Aims
A school aim is the end of the mission. It’s the goal or the vision. School aims tend to sound a bit like this for example, to create an optimistic and positive environment that holds high but reasonable expectations of every child who attends the school, showing the importance of being respected as an individual within the school. Encourage, through example, truthfulness and politeness while encouraging children to have relationships based on fairness, kindness and understanding of the needs of the other children within the school. These aims are reflected in school reports, attendance records and achievements.
A school Value is by definition the importance and lasting benefits or ideals shared by everyone who attends or wants to attend the school. What is desirable and undesirable. Values have influence on a person’s behavior or expected behavior and serve as broad guidelines in all situations. The values of a school are reflected in students’ behavior, school reports and overall values shown by students, staff and parents.
